June 13 - September 30, 2026
An exhibition curated by Anne-Sophie Murray, Service Culture et Patrimoine Conseil Départemental de la Corrèze.
For her debut in France, acclaimed British sculptor Kendra Haste brings her extraordinary wire-mesh creatures to life inside the 14th-century Château de Sédières, among a forest conjured by celebrated French painter Pierre-Luc Poujol. Exhibited sculptures include a red stag and hind, a white-tailed eagle, a wild boar and boarlets, a lynx and a European hare.
'Nature' invites visitors on a sensory journey deep into the forests of Corrèze, where the spirit of the woodland, its flora and fauna are brought vividly to life through light, movement and the rich colours of the works on show. Short films and studio insights accompany the show, offering a fascinating glimpse into the artists' creative process.
Château de Sédières is a medieval château with origins in the 14th century, deeply remodelled during the Renaissance in the 15th and 16th centuries. Nestled in the Corrèze region of south-west France, it sits within a vast 130-hectare estate of forests, ponds and waterways. Classified as a Historic Monument in 1958, it was saved by the Corrèze Departmental Council in 1965 and lovingly restored. Each summer, from mid-June to the end of September, the château hosts the Sédières Festival, featuring a diverse programme of art exhibitions, musical performances and shows, making it a wonderful backdrop for outdoor sculpture and artistic installations.
